Minute's silence for Cov City fan killed in crash

A minute's silence will be held at Coventry City's game at the Ricoh tonight after a Warwickshire man died travelling home from their game at Bristol at the weekend.

22-year old Graham Beal from Atherstone, known as 'Kong', was driving a van which flipped onto its side on the northbound M5 near Worcester at around 6:20pm on Saturday evening, also carrying a passenger.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "Crews arrived to find a van on its side. The driver had been confirmed dead at the scene."

"The passenger had managed to get out of the vehicle with the help of bystanders. He was assessed at the scene and found to have suspected neck and back injuries and a minor head injury."

"Crews immobilised him with the use of a spinal board and neck collar and took him to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further assessment and treatment."

The Sky Blues squad will also wear black armbands during tonight's game at Nottingham Forest in honour of Graham, who's had hundreds of tributes paid to him on Facebook, being described as a 'lovely lad'.
