'Violent' criminal breaches Warks jail release term

Police say a potentially violent criminal has breached the terms of his release and is missing after serving his sentence at a Rugby prison.

Alan King from Maidenhead was recently released from HMP Rye Hill after serving a sentence for burglary.

The 44-year old - who also has convictions for violence - was to go straight to an address in Windsor as part of the conditions of his release but did not turn up.

It's thought he has connections in Warwickshire as well as in Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.

Warwickshire Police says anyone who sees Mr King should call 999 immediately and not approach him, as he may be violent if confronted.

Anyone with information can call Thames Valley police on 0845 8 505505 quoting URN 642 6/3/10.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
