Nightclub For Disabled People

5000 disabled people from around the world are dancing the night away in an virtual nightclub - thanks to a man from Coventry.

Simon Stevens created the internet based 'Wheelies' club in 2006 so people with disabilities can meet and talk about their experiences.
 
The Disability Consultant says "It started off as a bit of a joke but then it got more and more publicity".
 
"I never imagined it would be as big as it is now".
 
The nightclub is part of the internet based virtual world 'Secondlife'.
 
It has also received praise from the Prime Minister.
 
Speaking an an event celebrating innovative ways of using technology, Gordon Brown said "The newest of technologies can help us solve some of the oldest of challenges, building a more just society and better stronger communities".
