What is ‘made for Coventry & Warwickshire’ all about?
We believe that the best radio is made when it’s done locally. You know. People from ‘around here’ talking about the things that you care about. That means local programmes, local information and programmes that mean something to you; hence, ‘made for Coventry & Warwickshire’.

Do you take song requests?
If you want to hear a song on-air you should get in touch with one of our presenters. We can’t guarantee that we will be able to play the song you request, but we like to think our playlist is a great mix of the 80’s, 90’s and today and that everyone who listens will always hear a song they like with us. If you don’t agree, tell us! We are always looking for feedback…

I love Mercia. Can you send me some merchandise?
We love that you love us but unfortunately we can’t send out merchandise. We give out branded items from time to time at our events, so that is your best bet.

I’d like to advertise with Mercia. How can I do that?
If you and your business reckon we’d make a good pairing, we’d love to hear from you. You can use our contact form (selecting commercial enquiry from the choices) or if you’d prefer an informal chat over the phone then call our reception on 024 7686 8200 and ask to be put through to a member of our sales team, who will be happy to discuss your options.

I want to get in touch. How can I phone you?
If you want to speak to the presenter who is currently on-air, call 02476 555 444 or if you’d prefer you can text us using 87867. If you’re listening to The Sanctuary, the number differs slightly and is 0330 66 00 111. If you’re tuned in to one of our sport programmes, the number you need is: 0330 66 00 999.

I’d love to do some Work Experience at Mercia. Can you help?
We need to be completely honest about Work Experience, so you know how popular it is! We receive a LOT of applications and don’t have the capacity to say yes very often.

We do sometimes give experience to University students who’ve already decided they want a career in radio.  This may be a few hours each week, for a significant period.

You can use our form to apply (selecting work experience from the choices) and we’ll only contact those who are successful. You must tell us your age, interests, educational attainments and your current situation.

How can I listen to Mercia?
We are available on 97.0 and 102.9fm, on DAB Digital Radio, here at mercia.co.uk (click ‘Listen Live’ at the top of the page) and we now have an iPhone App.

I want to be a radio presenter, can you help?
Our best advice is to get as much experience as you can and build up a demo that you can send to Programme Directors. If you’d like advice from our presenters as to how they got started then you can e-mail them through their show page.

I still can’t find the answer to my question?
There’s always the chance we might have missed something, or your query might be a bit more specific. Use the contact us page and select ‘general enquiry’ and we’ll be happy to help you further.
