Andy Murray Into 3rd Round In Shanghai
Andy Murray is through to the third round of the Shanghai Masters after his second round opponent, Dmitry Tursenov, pulled out of their match with an injury.
Tursenov hurt his wrist in the first round, taking three sets to beat Thomaz Bellucci of Brazil.
The Russian told organisers he would be unable to play Murray.
It means the world number four is through to the third round without having picked up his racquet – as he had already received a first round bye.
Murray will play Stanislas Wawrinka of Switzerland in the last 16.
He is looking for his third tournament win in a row, having won the Thailand and Japan Opens over the past two weekends.
Murray spent his afternoon watching top seed Rafael Nadal beat fellow Spaniard Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 6-3, 6-2.
