About
Pete joined the Group in 2017 and has over 30 years’ lending experience. He is Investment Director for NPIF – Mercia Debt Finance, focusing on delivering the Fund into the South Yorkshire MCA Region City Region.
Pete is also Deputy Fund Principal for NPIF Debt Fund across Yorkshire & Humber Region.
Previous experience
Prior to joining the Group, Pete was with RBS Group where his final role was director for Commercial Banking in South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire, running the bank’s relationship management team across that area. Experienced in lending to the SME sector, he spent six months seconded to the bank’s lending programme project in 2013, in response to the challenge of increasing its performance in this area. Prior to that he held the role of relationship director in commercial banking, working directly with the SME sector in the same area. Pete has worked with the SME community in and around the region since 1996.
