This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Fund Administration team, with the addition of a Junior Fund Administrator. Reporting to the Head of Client Reporting and Fund Administration, the Junior Fund Administrator will support the Fund Administration team and Investment teams in the administration of the Mercia funds, with responsibilities including but not limited to collating portfolio company data, assisting with the administration of investment applications, supporting the team on the quarterly fund reporting process, assisting with both internal and external audits, along with regular monitoring and updating of our internal CRM systems.

This is an entry-level, full-time position based in our Henley-in-Arden office. Initially you will be expected to work in the Henley-in-Arden office each day to cover our standard induction and training. We are working to a Flex+ policy which allows for core hours and some homeworking during the working week.

You would be expected to have a full driving licence and your own vehicle to travel to the Henley-in-Arden office and there will be some occasional travel to other offices and locations as required.

Responsibilities:

As a Junior Fund Administrator, you will be responsible for assisting the investment teams and your fellow Fund Administrators with:

  • Collating portfolio companies’ monthly management information alongside other relevant
  • Assisting with the co-ordination of investment applications and supporting with post investment documentation collection.
  • Performing anti-money laundering (“AML”) checks on all parties involved in new deal completions, follow-on investments and in monitoring existing portfolios.
  • Assisting with the quarterly fund reporting process.
  • Supporting the statutory annual audit process and any fund-specific audits.
  • Co-ordinating, attending and minuting meetings as required; to include cover for meetings/minute taking.
  • Checking all Companies House notifications and updating internal systems to reflect changes.
  • Updating and co-ordinating monthly checks of internal systems.

About you:

  • Excellent time management and a high level of organisation are essential requirements.
  • A passion for getting things right, tenacious in pursuing a query until satisfactory resolution; scrupulous attention to detail is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with colleagues at all levels.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A good working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Numerate.
