The Assembly, Re-Engineered for Oculus Rift, Project Morpheus and HTC Vive

nDreams, the UK’s largest developer/publisher solely focused on creating visual reality (VR) games and experiences, is excited to unveil The Assembly. Completely rebuilt in Unreal Engine 4, the game will be coming soon to Oculus Rift (Windows PC), Project Morpheus (PlayStation 4) and HTC Vive (Steam VR).

The Assembly is a thrilling adventure game, designed from the ground up with the full use of VR in mind. Players will be challenged by moral dilemmas as they uncover the secrets of The Assembly, a mysterious organisation that has been experimenting outside the constraints of government scrutiny and society’s morals.

As a chain of events threatens to expose The Assembly, two individuals – each with their own perspectives and motivations – are offered a chance to shape the future. For better or worse, the impossible choices they face will transform not just their own lives, but also those of entire nations.

Having honed their skills over the past year in the fast-moving world of VR development, the team at nDreams redesigned The Assembly following the game’s announcement at E3 2014 in order to take its world and gameplay to new levels. The Assembly also features a reworked story by Rob Morgan, lead writer and voice director on the Augmented Reality title Wonderbook: Book of Spells and Sony Computer Entertainment’s VR demo, The Deep.

“Over the last year, we have moved The Assembly to Unreal Engine 4 and continued to enhance every aspect of the game, from its graphical fidelity to the scope and scale of its gameplay and narrative,” said Patrick O’Luanaigh, CEO of nDreams. “We can’t wait for the world’s media to get their hands on The Assembly in its new and improved form at this year’s E3.”

The Assembly is targeting the launch window of the Oculus Rift, Project Morpheus and HTC Vive for release.
