Crowd Reactive’s EventsTag opens new office in Dubai

Mercia’s portfolio company Crowd Reactive, the creators of a unique social media tool for live events, has brought its innovative tech solutions to the Middle East with the launch of an EventsTag office in Dubai.

Dan Strang, CEO, said: “The Middle East, and UAE and Dubai in particular, have seen huge amounts of innovation in the past few years, and we want to be a part of that progress. As pioneers of experiential tech, we believe the ambitions and scope of the events industry in this part of the world is perfectly suited to what we love to do at EventsTag: deliver cutting-edge technology-led experiences to fans, partygoers and event attendees on behalf of world class brands.”

The events industry in Dubai is already a significant contributor to the UAE’s GDP, and it’s growing each year. In fact, the Dubai World Expo 2020 will help to bring an estimated 20 million visitors to the emirate in 2020 alone. Dubai Tourism is keeping pace with this growth by delivering state-of-the-art technological solutions for the events industry. Initiatives like e-Ticketing and e-Permits platforms have helped to make UAE a leading global events destination.

Dan Strang continues: “With offices already in the UK, US and Australia, we’ve been on the lookout for the next location to spread the EventsTag experiential tech message. The buzz around UAE and the Middle East makes it very clear that there’s no better place for our next EventsTag office.”

EventsTag ME will be launched and led by Steph de Vries, together with an experienced local team. Steph looks forward to using her technology background to bring EventsTag’s technological innovations, as well as exceptional client service, to UAE and the Middle East.
