The RisingStars Funds targeted early-stage high-growth technology companies in segments where current technology or solutions were limited.
The first of these funds was established in 2003 and a total of £33.0million of investment was drawn from institutional investors and the North West Development Agency.
The RisingStars Funds sought out unique technologies with exceptional commercial prospects, and ambitious management teams with the ability to turn them into highly successful commercial enterprises which sell or licence their technology in international markets.
