Dean joined Mercia in 2025 to lead the firm’s distribution strategy, with a focus on building strong, lasting relationships with institutional investors and driving business growth. He brings over 20 years of experience in the UK asset management industry, having worked extensively with pension schemes, insurers, financial institutions, and advisers.
Previous experience
Prior to joining Mercia, Dean was Head of UK Institutional at Franklin Templeton, where he was responsible for leading the firm’s institutional strategy and deepening engagement across the market. He previously led the Government and Strategic Institutions team at Invesco, and held a senior business development role at Royal London Asset Management, managing and growing relationships across a broad range of institutional clients.
Dean began his career at Fidelity and has consistently focused on supporting institutional investors throughout his career. He holds a degree in International Business and Finance and is an IMC holder.
