Joe joined Mercia in August 2026 as a Portfolio Director in the VCT team. Based out of our London office, Joe sits on the board for a range of Mercia-backed companies, supporting various value creation initiatives.
Previous experience
Prior to joining Mercia, Joe worked at ScaleUp Capital, a growth investor in UK technology businesses. He spent over three years as Portfolio Director, sitting on six portfolio company boards and partnering with founders on GTM strategy and driving commercial performance. He previously held roles within several venture-backed start-ups, including operations and general management roles at REEF Technology and Urban.co. Joe began his career in strategy consulting at L.E.K. and holds a First Class MEng from the University of Bristol.
