Liam joined Mercia Ventures as an Investment Manager in September 2026, working with the MEIF II Equity team in the West Midlands. He has spent nearly a decade working in early-stage venture capital, partnering with ambitious founders and supporting high-growth businesses across a wide range of sectors.
Previous experience
Liam began his career at MidVen, where he developed a strong foundation in venture investing and portfolio support before joining ACF Investors in 2020 where he spent 6 years co-investing alongside angels into promising startups across the UK. Through these roles, Liam worked closely with entrepreneurs throughout their growth journeys, helping businesses access the capital, strategic guidance and networks needed to scale successfully.
Having been born and raised in the Midlands, Liam is passionate about supporting the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and helping the innovative businesses founded here realise their potential. As an Investment Manager with Mercia Ventures, Liam has the privilege of working with some of the Midlands’ most ambitious founders. What he enjoys most about venture investing is working alongside founders at a formative stage in their journey and helping them turn bold ideas into successful businesses and witnessing the impact those businesses create for customers, employees and the wider regional economy.
