About
Nick joined the Group in 2026 as a Portfolio Manager working within the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund – Mercia Business Loans team. He is responsible for maintaining relationships and monitoring the ongoing performance of the SMEs that have been granted term loan investments.
Previous experience
Prior to joining Mercia, Nick’s most recent role was as an Investment Manager with Creative UK where he was responsible for deploying the £35m debt fund, Creative Growth Finance II. A core part of this role was performing full due diligence on potential investees and forming a deep understanding of their operations, ultimately supporting them with the provision of growth capital in order to help them meet their strategic goals.
Nick began his career with the completion of an apprenticeship with NatWest and subsequently held relationship management roles within the corporate banking functions at both NatWest and Santander. Following these roles he also deployed funds under the NPIF I scheme.
