Having worked with start-ups in a range of capacities, as an adviser, operator, and investor, Shubham aims to act as a true partner to founders.
At Mercia Ventures, Shubham focuses on early- to growth-stage investments and is responsible for the end-to-end deal process, from sourcing to execution.
Previous experience
Shubham began his career in Equity Research and Corporate Finance while obtaining his CFA charter. He then transitioned into venture capital, initially joining an early-stage fund in India, where he focused on Pre-Series A and Series A investments across the Consumer, Agritech, and Climate tech sectors in South and Southeast Asia.
Following this, he pursued an MBA at the University of Cambridge to broaden his perspective on global venture ecosystems. Post-MBA, he spent a year at Sifted, where he authored reports on the European early-stage landscape, developing a strong understanding of market dynamics and emerging trends.
