The top 50 tech businesses in the Midlands from start up to established players included eight within Mercia’s portfolio:

Adapttech

Birmingham-based Adapttech was founded in 2015 by biomedical engineers Frederico Carpinteiro and Mario Saenz Espinoza. Its INSIGHT tool offers a faster and easier way to fit lower-limb prostheses and monitor patients’ rehabilitation.

Staff Circle

Leicestershire-based Staff Circle has developed a novel HR software platform to improve communication and feedback between employees in different locations, providing them with easy access to training, tasks and contacts within their company.

Voxpopme

Birmingham-based Voxpopme is a developer and provider of a video analytics platform, enabling brands to capture, analyse and share video content for market research and customer experience insight.

Kaido

Kaido helps people to get more from their health applications, wearable devices and smartphones by using smart technology alongside access to world-leading expertise. It is one of  a number of start-ups currently based at Innovation Birmingham’s Serendip Smart City Incubator.

Clarilis

Warwickshire-based Clarilis has developed a leading platform in automated document drafting for the legal community. The business combines a proprietary technology platform with an internal team of experienced lawyers and automation staff to deliver a complete service offering to clients.

C7 Healthcare

Warwickshire-based C7 Healthcare has developed an innovative software platform, which is set to significantly reduce waiting times for diagnostic scans.

Aceleron

Birmingham-based Aceleron is an innovative advanced lithium battery developer aiming to accelerate the global shift to cleaner, more renewable energy and to empower people to benefit from sustainable battery technology.

 ebate

Led by a female tech entrepreneur and based in Leicester, ebate has developed the UK’s first software as a service (“SaaS”) platform to help companies manage rebate and pricing schemes.
