James joined the group in 2021 and is based at the Preston office. His responsibilities include inputting supplier invoices for all Mercia entities, administration of an expense management system, processing payments runs and completing bank reconciliations. James is currently studying for his CIMA accounting qualification and hopes to become Chartered within three years.

Previous experience

James has worked within commercial finance teams for the last 3+ years in the logistics and food manufacturing industries, as well as graduating in 2020 from the University of Central Lancashire with an Accounting and Finance degree. In his last role he was responsible for various purchase ledgers within a group of companies and assisted with the formation of management accounts.
