About
Laurence joined Mercia in 2022 as a Portfolio Manager within the NPIF Debt Fund. He is responsible for maintaining relationships and monitoring the ongoing performance of the SME’s that have been granted term loan investments. He has a wealth of banking experience having worked in banking for the last 25 years with Virgin Money (formerly Yorkshire Bank).
Previous experience
Prior to starting with Mercia, Laurence’s last role was a Commercial Relationship Manager. Having spent the last 15 years working daily with businesses and their owners he has gained extensive experience in business lending across differing economic backdrops. What has continuously motivated him is working closely with these businesses to learn their sector in order to thoroughly understand how their business works. Whether the sector be manufacturing, construction, healthcare or other he has been able to provide financial solutions and facilities to help these businesses achieve their goals.
